Title IX and Sexual Harassment

Capital University does not discriminate against students, faculty or staff based on sex in any of its programs or activities, including but not limited to educational programs, employment, and admission. Sexual harassment, including sexual violence, is a kind of sex discrimination and is prohibited by Title IX and by the University.

Reporting

The University is committed to responding promptly and effectively when it learns of any form of possible discrimination based on sex. The University responds to reports of sexual harassment, including sexual violence, as part of its efforts to stop the harassment and prevent its recurrence of possible sex discrimination.

CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence

CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence assists domestic violence survivors through a 24-hour crisis line (614-224-4663), legal advocates, counseling, and temporary emergency shelter. Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization (BRAVO)

BRAVO provides comprehensive individual and community programs for survivor advocacy and support to LGBTQI survivors of hate and bias violence, discrimination, intimate partner violence, stalking, and/or sexual assault. More information can be found here: http://bravo.equitashealth.org

The Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network (RAINN)

RAINN connects individuals to their nearest rape crisis line, simply call 800-656-3673 for assistance.

Title IX Team Training

As required by the Final Title IX Rule, all materials used to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process must be made publicly available on its website. Please note: Not all employees involved in the Title IX process have taken every training listed below. This list is updated regularly to comply with regulations and to reflect the ongoing training that is taken.
